| Monivsion’s 46-inch HD-compatible plasma display offers resolution of up to 1024 x 768 pixels when used as a PC monitor, and several resolutions up to and including full 1080i resolution when used for high-definition (HD) video. It can also display video at 480p, 525i, 625i, and 720p resolution. The PWV-46MCB-1’s 16:9 wide-format screen displays up to 16.77 million colors with good contrast and brightness--it has a contrast ratio of 800:1 and brightness of 700 candelas per square meter. Its wide viewing angle, 160 degrees, means everyone should have a great seat. The display can show two video sources at once using the picture-in-picture function, including in PC mode, and can zoom and freeze the video source. In addition to accepting video in NTSC (North American and Japanese) format, it can also show PAL and SECAM video. Its built-in amplifier supplies 10 watts to each of two channels (speakers are optional) and includes WOW surround-like sound. The PWV-46MCB-1 has two connectors--a 15-pin RGB port for connecting a PC and a DVI (Digital Video Interface) port for connecting either a PC or another digital, high-resolution input source. Adding the optional video input/output board gives you an NTSC, PAL, or SECAM TV tuner, along with component-video inputs (Y Pb Pr or Y Cb Cr), S-video in, composite-video in and out, an RF input, and two stereo audio inputs.
